In addition to making regular tuition payments, the total tuition cost at Our Lady of Lourdes also requires each family to be actively involved in the Home and School Association and to participate in the following ways during the school year:

1) Lourdes Major Fundraisers --In the Fall, magazine subscriptions  and Sally Foster products are sold. In the Spring, a walk-a-thon, called LOURDESWALK, takes place. If a family finds that they can not actively participate in these, they are given the option of a specific monetary contribution.

2) St. Patrick's Day CASH Raffle --A simple raffle with money prizes begins in mid February. Families have about three weeks to sell or buy 10 tickets ($50.00 worth). Prizes are drawn on St. Patrick's Day.

3) Donations --Once or twice during the school year, each family will be contacted by a Home and School calling person and will be asked for donations to the "coffee and rolls service" to the parish and possible classroom or school-wide needs.

4) Two (2) Additional Commitments of Service/Participation --Each family will have numerous opportunities to be involved with their child's education. A list of volunteer opportunities is made available to each family.

5) Extra-curricular Sports --Parents of children participating in any of the extra-curricular sporting activities are required to be active in the Lourdes Athletic Boosters (LABs). The parent group makes possible these athletic programs: Football (Grade 7 & 8); Basketball (Grade 5, 6, 7, & 8); Cheerleading (Grade 6, 7, & 8); Volleyball (Grade 7 & 8) and Track (Grade 6, 7, & 8). All parents of the LABs are required to buy or sell "Christmas Green" raffle tickets in the Fall of each school year.

Dollar Values Per Family for Major Fundraisers

• Our Lady of Lourdes School expects each family to be meaningfully involved in the various aspects of their child's education, including pre-determined fundraisers which are essential to the school's operating budget. Current major fundraisers include: Magazine Sale (Fall), St. Patrick's CASH Raffle (Winter), and LOURDESWALK (Spring).

•While 100% involvement of our school families is the ultimate goal, there are occasions when a family cannot actively participate in one or more of the major fundraisers. In such a case, the family may choose the option of a monetary contribution for the particular fundraiser as indicated below.

• With each major fundraiser, family participation will be recorded. All families must either participate fully or pay the established dollar value within the time frame of the fundraiser. If this does not occur, the family will then be billed with payment due immediately.

• MAGAZINE SALE = $75.00
• ST. PATRICK'S DAY CASH RAFFLE = $ 50.00
• LOURDESWALK WALK-A-THON = $100.00
• TOTAL PER FAMILY = $ 225.00

Families with students involved in the "Fighting Irish" athletic activities must participate fully in the selling of the Lourdes Athletic Boosters' (LABS) Christmas Green Raffle Tickets or pay the $100.00 dollar value each year. Total Dollar Value including LABS' CHRISTMAS GREEN = $325.00
