All parents are members of Home & School which is a support of the
school. The group sponsors two major fund raisers each year: a
magazine sale in the fall and a walk-a-thon, called Lourdeswalk, in the
spring. Other activities that are sponsored by Home & School
include: a Penny Drive, collection of Campbell soup labels and
General Mills box tops, and treats for the students on special occasions.
Some of the annual events include: Ethnic Food Fair, Enrichment Day
and the Last Day of School Breakfast.
Home & School has an annual
commitment to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. the amount set for the
2007/2008 school year is $25,000. In the past, Home & School has
also been able to provide the school with needed items that had not been
budgeted for, such as a laminating machine, a fax machine and a set of
bleachers for the gymnasium.
