Our Lady of Lourdes Church community believes in the value of a
well-balanced education that addresses the total personality of the child
and thus offers a solid and integrated Christian, moral, and academic
formation. We believe that Our Lady of Lourdes School is an excellent
place where such an education is offered. A family, in choosing this
option as an alternative to Public School, acknowledges this advantage and
accepts the sacrifice that may come with it. Our school offers an
education worth paying for.
A substantial part of our school costs is shouldered by
Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. Therefore, the tuition we charge reflects an
automatic scholarship extended to each student entering our school. This
allows us to keep our tuition at an affordable level. As the parish
accepts this considerable financial sacrifice, we expect and ask that you
also are willing to make an appropriate sacrifice as you consider your
child's tuition. We rely on your honesty and sincere desire to arrive at a
fair agreement with the school. We promise our best efforts to make sure
that financial considerations will not prevent you from enrolling your
child in Our Lady of Lourdes School.
1. The basic tuition for the school year 2008-2009 is
$1,650.00 for the first child of a family. The tuition for each additional
child from the same family is discounted to result in the following
totals: two children, $2,625.00; three children, $3,300.00; four children,
$3,760.00. At the time of registration or re-registration a financial
deposit is required: $100 for the first child and $50 for each child
per family in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. The deposit is applied
toward the total amount of tuition for the school year.
We understand that plans may change after registration;
therefore, the deposit is 100% refundable if notification is given to the
office before the end of the current school year. Fifty percent of
the deposit is refundable if withdrawal occurs before June 30 of the
current school year. If notification occurs after June 30, the
entire deposit is non-refundable.
2. Tuition for Kindergarten is $825.00 per year.
Tuition for Pre-School (three-year-olds) is $60.00 per month for two half
days per week sessions; (four-year-olds) is $85.00 per month for three
half days per week sessions. Upon registration for Pre-School, a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is due; of this, $30.00
will be applied toward tuition, and $20.00 toward a supply fee for the
year.
Extended Care is
$2.75/hour for the first child of a family, $1.75/hour for each
subsequent child from one family.
3. Based on the estimated cost per regular student of
about $3,000.00/year, your home parish, if other than Our Lady of Lourdes,
will be informed that they are asked to contribute an amount set by the
Diocese toward the difference between cost and basic tuition for each
child from their parish (half the amount for Kindergarten; nothing for
Pre-School or Extended Care). Agreement or refusal on the part of a parish
to provide this subsidy will have no bearing on a family's tuition.
